Nii Koi Kotey

    Nii Kotey holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and a Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP, SPHR). Nii has close to two decades generalist HR experience spanning across different industries including agriculture, construction, hospitality, mining/oil & gas support services, technology, consumer electronics and banking. He is an avid tutor and has assisted several HR practitioners to achieve their HR professional certifications for the past fifteen years.

    Currently, Nii works with Cummins Incorporated as the Regional HR Director for Cummins operations in Africa, Middle East and Central Asia. His role largely involves leading the various HR teams in the regions under his supervision to provide added value to the various entities and ensure the best talents are attracted, developed, motivated, and retained in the organization.

    Prior to joining Cummins, Nii worked with Ecobank Ghana as a Senior HR Business Partner for Operations and Technology. At Ecobank, he was the HR Business Partner for Group Operations and Technology including the Bank’s technology subsidiary, eProcess International SA.

    He also had a stint with Samsung Electronics as HR Manager for West Africa overseeing Samsung’s HR operations in Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon. Other companies Nii has worked with include Stellar Group as Group HR Manger, Senior HR Officer for Lambert Electromec and HR/Administrative Manager for Cocoa Abrabopa Association (a subsidiary of Wienco Ghana Limited/RMG).

    Nii holds a first degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana, an MBA in HR from KNUST and an LLB program with the University of London. He is also a Professional Certified Coach from the International Coaching Academy (Australia), an ICF Coaching Education services provider.

    He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-USA) and the Ghana Forum of SHRM. He has served on several committees such as the HR Management Committee of the Board of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Programs Committee of the Ghana Forum of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-USA), a member of the ACCA Africa Advocacy Project and currently a Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana.
